Minderoo at the State Arts Partnership Awards

On Monday night, the Minderoo Foundation was very proud to receive a top honour at the State Arts Partnership Awards in the category of Arts Development for our partnership with the WA Museum.

The award acknowledged the new Minderoo Grants, set up using a portion of dividends from the generous donation Andrew and Nicola previously made to the Foundation for the WA Museum, which enabled the growth of their Discovery Endowment Fund.

The annual Minderoo Grants are available to WA Museum staff for innovative and rewarding research and collection projects that otherwise wouldn’t be possible. These key projects offer far-reaching benefits and represent some of the museum’s diverse disciplines in science, social and cultural knowledge.

As the Museum embarks on one of the most significant museum redevelopments in the world today (the New Museum, due to open in 2020:, Minderoo is very proud to be a long-term supporter of this important cultural institution.

Nicola also represented Black Swan State Theatre Company on the night, in her role as Chair, as they accepted an award for individual partnerships with key supporters.
